This
special purpose mirror is designed for viewing along railway stations for driver only
passenger trains. The 900mm x 1200mm mirror provides a large
clear image of the platform, allowing the driver a detailed view of the platform and the
side of the train. The driver has a clear view to ensure that all passengers have cleared
doorways and that it is safe to move off. The flat glass vinyl backed mirror has an
inbuilt heater/demister to prevent fogging on cold wintry days and keeps the mirror clear
and dry at all times. The separate internal mirror assembly is housed in an all
steel enclosure and is protected from vandalism by a field replaceable polycarbonate
shield. The shield is made from a high performance polycarbonate which is both
UV and
scratch resistant. At over 9000lb/in2 breaking strain the mirror is truly protected from
expensive damage. The outer enclosure is zinc plated and powder coated to your
choice of colour. The weather shroud has been designed to provide the mirror with the
maximum shading without sacrificing the angle of view. The mirror is designed to
mount direct to a 150mm diameter post. Adjustable in both planes the mirror can also be
offset from the post. |
